Products I use in my Skin Care Routine.

Hey Guy's.
Hope your all well.
Today I'm having a PJ day (can I please note how adorable are these dumbo ones?!)

I have started trying a new face wash & scrub so thought I'd share my thoughts on my first week trying them both out.
So this is my updated skin care routine..

I have been using Neutogena's Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control Scrub & There Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash/Mask. Which are on 2 for £5 currently in boots!
Due to transplant and my medication I seem to suffer pretty bad with spots, and its very rare I have completely clear skin - boo.
But I have found ways to reduce redness and such and know products that help my skin, but I was curious to find a face wash that would maybe help my skin a little bit more.

So far after using these for a week now, there lovely! I have noticed reduced redness, and my skin is defiantly a lot softer!

So the daily scrub has little microbeads in it to gently exfoliate the skin.
Now I have in the past struggled to find a scrub that isn't too rough on the skin but still does the job well.
And I have finally found the perfect scrub for me.
It is enriched with Green tea and Cucumber so smells super fresh and it really does make my skin feel super soft!

I squeeze a small amount of the scrub into my palm and rub this onto a wet face, paying most attention to my nose where i can often suffer with dry patches.
Then rinse with warm water.

Once I have used the scrub my face is prepped ready to use this amazing 2-in-1 product.
I was pretty skeptical how this could be both a wash and mask but it is fab!
I use this morning and evening, and if using a wash just massage a small amount of product onto the face (while still wet) and work it into a lather then rinse off again with warm water OR cold water to wake myself up in the morning!
This can be used as a mask as it is a soft clay formula but still is pretty gentle on the skin. You smooth the product onto the skin and leave for 5 mins,Then rinse off.
In 5 minutes it works wonders, unclogs your pores and gives you super smooth skin! Love it!

Now DO ignore the no make up look but I wanted to show you all the look of this product as a mask. As you can see it is thick enough to do a great job. This is perfect to use once a week as I personally find some face masks very drying on my skin!

Now on the left image is a super product I received in a huge lush box I got for christmas (Review coming soon..)
It is a tad pricey at £8.25 for 20g but is is literally the best thing ever for dry skin.
It glides on so beautifully, and just moisturizes your skin amazingly.
With Portebello Mushroom & Rose it's very earthy smelling, but it does wonders.
They suggest to use this under a face mask as it will aid the means of the mask (couldn't agree more!) or as a night cream.
I use as both but also like to apply a little on any dry patches before I apply my makeup.

After all that cleansing I then apply my Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser which is so light on the skin but so so hydrating to the skin which when you have spots sometimes you will often get a lot of dry patches so this is amazing and again this is a gorgeous base for makeup.

Also I'd like to mention I LOVE sudocrem.
I use this on my spots of an evening, since it is an antiseptic cream it does wonders for spots! So if you have a blemish, apply some sudocrem and when you wake up it will be less red and will have begun to heal - super!

Then I finish of my skin care by applying one of lush's lip scrub.. I personally would recommend Mint Julips as it is nice and minty and fresh but mine ran out so at the minute I only have the santa's lip scrub (also kind of still sad christmas has been & gone..)
This gets rid of any dead skin and means you have smooth lips for a perfect base for lipstick later on.

I also like to apply a lip balm at this stage too to ensure kissable lips!

So that's my current skin care routine (in the morning,as in the evening I use a night cream in place of the moisturizer..)
Hope you all enjoyed!
Have any of you got any recommendations for blemish prone skin? Let me know!

Styling Skater Skirts..?

Hey Guy's!
So today I am going to be writing a post about one of my fave fashion pieces ever - Skater Skirts.

Skater Skirts are defined as being a skirt which is high waisted with a short but flowy hemline that is above the knee. Commonly it is worn sinched in at the waist with a belt.

My Favorite place for skater skirts defiantly is New Look.
And just as a heads up there basic waffle skater skirts are £10 each (with this in mind my collection has suddenly grown ha ha)

They are a stable in my wardrobe and in fact a lot of girls wardrobes I'm pretty sure.
There a super flattering style of skirt and look effortlessly amazing.
They work for all figures and are just so versatile!

Everyone who knows me well finds it pretty hilarious when I say I have brought another skater skirt as it is something I practically live in.
Now before this winter I kind of lived in jeans once the weather got cold, but was desperate to find a way to take my skirts through into the colder months and thanks to thermal and fleece lined tights I've managed to do so!

So... I thought I would share some ways in which I wear my skirts and what I tend to pair them with when the weathers colder.

I just had to mention this outfit first..
I am kind of slightly in love with sharks, and love anything shark related.
One day I was just browsing the net and spotted this awesome spoof Jaws top..
I never got round to buying it until I went to clothes show live, but as soon as I got it I paired it with my red skater skirt and black flats. I don't really wear a scarf with this as I love showing the 'Paws' writing but of course for those chilly days I'd just pop a black scarf on..
(and a jacket of course..)

I like to pair my Cat Dress Up top  (also from new look) with my red skater skirt.
As you can tell I love skater skirts with graphic t-shirts as I think it just tops of the casual look really well - and who doesn't like a cat in a top hat and bow tie?

I like to wear either my red tartan snood or a black scarf with this outfit to keep warm if I'm off out with my black leather jacket.
And I would most defiantly wear my beautiful black Serena doc martens with this!

I'm slightly in love with this shirt from H&M ! It is so gorgeous, great for the sports luxe trend but strangely enough this isn't my kind of thing usually but this baseball shirt is so flattering - low cut with a baggy fit, gorgeous.
Pair it with a nice black skater skirt with the (beyond) baggy t shirt tucked in,belt cinching you in at the waist.
Finish with some black converse - mine were studded black ones from new look,or with some simple black flats.

Another way I like to wear a black skater skirt is to wear it with a long shirt tucked in and again sinched in at the waist.
My fave shirt to do this with is my tartan shirt,I think it adds a bit more of a girly vibe to what can be a rather masculine item.

I love to wear my doc martens with this outfit on days I'm feeling a bit grungier, with my leather jacket
Or..

My Chelsea Boots.
I love these boots.. they were a bargain in sales at tesco at only £6 and I think they add something a bit different to the usual look of a chelsea boot.
Since I'm always looking for things to jazz up simple outfits these boots are perfect!

Another outfit I like wearing these with is...

This.
A gorgeous green skater skirt with a very basic vest from H&M,but what I love about it is its super dainty straps with a caged back and floral lace across the bust - beautiful little finishes like those pull me in!
This is one example how you can really dress up a skirt like this.
I wear this with my ankle boots but you could also wear it with some nice sandal heels maybe?

Im really exited to take my skaters into spring with some more pastel coloured hues...
So until the next upload of skater skirt styling,I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Tuesday Transformation - Elsa from Disneys Frozen.

Hey Guy's!
So I really ought to start by saying I hope you all had an amazing Christmas & New Year.
I have been having a few problems with my laptop so couldn't blog while Me & Gareth were in Birmingham (for a lengthy 3 weeks..)

So I'm back and thought I would do a beauty post!
Well today our boiler broke and I was sat here thinking about what to blog about and after saying 'gah im frozen' i had a sudden blog brain wave lol.

I watched frozen with my baby sister Gareth and my mom and her partner when we were in Birmingham and I loved it.
It was such a beautiful story and I adore the soundtrack.
Defiantly go have a listen / watch to this one Do you want to build a snowman. Pulled on my heart strings having a little sister myself.

So I decided I would do a make up look based on Elsa - The Eldest Sister who has magical ice powers (Pretty Awesome!)

Elsa has beyond flawless skin and its pale frosty and she has very light freckles.

Having freckles my self I wanted to try and keep coverage to a minimum, but with my skin being far from flawless at the moment I have used more coverage then normal.

I applied collections lasting perfection concealer before I applied Rimmel's Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation and the took some more concealer over any blemishes to create a truly flawless look.
I then set with Rimmel's Stay Matte powder

Elsa also has really slim, dark, neat eyebrows so I went ahead and filled my brows in and extended them out a little.

(Sorry for the awful quality of this photo!)

I started by applying Barry M's Matte Super Soft Eye Crayon in Shade 10 which is a beautiful Lavender as a base.
Then it's good to blend the colour out with your ring finger and blending it out into your crease which gives you this seamless beautiful colour.

Then I took the lightest shade in the so susan pallete and packed this straight onto the previous colour with the same shape, and again blended it out a little.

I then took the slightly darker purple shade and put this in the outer corner and then blended it out into the crease to create a sharper and more defined look to eye.
To create more dimension bring the colour down from the outer corner down to the inner eye.

I then took a cranberry shade from my storm pallette onto the outer corner / outer v and blended this out.
Personally I would have preferred if this was a lot more pigmented and looking back I should have applied some more colour.
I would suggest Collections Glam Crystals in Dancing Queen which is a beautiful cranberry'ish glitter liner which you could blend into the outer V.

Then to finish the eyes I applied Soap & Glory's gel liner in Grape Vine on my outer bottom lash line and applied to the upper lash.
Applied a thin layer of Rimmels Glam Eyes Precise liquid liner on my top lash line just to give the illusion of thicker lashes.
Then finished with Rimmel's Scandal Eyes Lycra Flex mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

And there it is!
I finished with a pink lip balm just to give a tiny pop of colour and pinned my natural (very crazy) curly hair back for the messy look but having short hair of course couldn't create a braid!

Hope you all like this look.
And would love to get some suggestions from you all for next Tuesdays transformation!

Because a Pet's for life not just Christmas..

Hey Guy's
Hope your all okay?
So with Christmas closing in (A week today - Eek.) I'm already seeing the endless Facebook post's of new puppies & kittens - and it worries me.

Around Christmas we all get so excited for the presents we will get that year, and I know many girls who will be wanting a 'Cute Kitten' Or 'Cuddly Puppy' for Christmas, and in all honestly I've been there myself.
Now it worries me because just as soon as these people are getting animals just as quick they are posting on Facebook "Looking for a home for my Dog/Cat,can no longer look after
Which is often known as,my pet is no longer a cute little baby anymore and its eating everything and costing me money!

The Bigger issue is that sometimes these animals don't get re-homed,instead there abandoned by people who no longer can care for the animal generally because they didn't think properly about the decision of getting a pet and the responsibility it in tails.

Of course this isn't always the case, and lots of animal around this season will go to loving family homes and get the care they need.
But I just want to remind every one, don't be fooled that that cute little kitten isn't going to climb up your Christmas tree..
As my little sisters cat jack as a kitten does here...

& That they won't roll around in your wrapping paper..
(Granted with some assistance here...)

But if you give them all the love & care they need you will have a friend for life.

I got my Mainecoon Nala, two years ago as a companion when I left hospital.
And she has give me nothing but happiness,so I thought I'd share with you some pictures to show you that all the toilet training, mess they make, scratching of furniture, vets costs, stumbling over there toys
(yes Nala is like a child..)
They are worth it all - so please this Christmas if your getting a pet,be sure it's for life, not just Christmas :)
